Our Team.
Nothing that this team does is without many people involved in the decision making process and rollout. We have an amazing group of seven alumni that volunteer their time to help plan, brainstorm, pick, create, and implement everything that we do. Lets meet the team!

The Visionaries
This three-headed cog is the brainchild that decided to start The 1886 Barrel Club during the pandemic days. Since our first event during the pandemic Shannon, J. Love, and Dre have worked together to take this from just the idea of having a "Holiday themed, Minority Owned Bourbon" Zoom Tasting event into a full fledged community that did what was (to our knowledge) the first Private Barrel Pick of any HBCU. They currently help with all major planning and are the trusted ones to make immediate decisions, when the larger leadership group can't be convened in a timely manner.

Taking us to new heights
When we wanted to make the group even better than before we knew that would take more ideas, support, and creativity. So we have took the 3 person team and expanded that to 7 people that have been helping lead this group for the last couple of years. Below you will see a bit about each one of them including their specific role on the Leadership team and just some facts to help you all get to know them and their vision for the group. We have already been working together coming up with future events, planning our next barrel picks, deciding how we'll use our group to give back to KSU in additional ways, and much more. We can't be more excited to have the extra support and vision that these additions have brought and we thank them for joining us in volunteering their time, effort, and thoughts.
