About Us
Our Story
The 1886 Barrel Club is a group comprised of alumni from the only four year degree awarding HBCU in the state of Kentucky, that produces most of the worlds bourbon, Kentucky State University. We use the selecting of private whiskey barrels and blends in partnership with distilleries and to then sell the collectible glassware to alumni and other university supporters, with the proceeds being donated back to Kentucky State University student organizations.
Our shared interests in Whiskey, a desire to learn & share more knowledge about the industry that helped make Kentucky what it is today, and the fact that we matriculated in the heart of the Bourbon Capital of the world is why we formed our group. Get in touch today to learn more.
